In the case of facial erythrosis too, pulsed light (IPL) operates in the same way. Namely, it converts to heat effectively burning the endothelial walls of capillaries.
Three different light filters are used depending on the depth of facial erythrosis.
- 420nm – 1200nm for acne and superficial facial erythrosis
- 510nm – 1200nm for medium-depth vascular damage
- 560nm – 1200nm for deep vascular damage
